Julie and Michael’s Backyard Wedding in Calabasas

If you ever want advice on how to throw a perfect elevated backyard wedding, ask these two.

For their big day, Julie and Michael rented out a home in the hills of Calabasas. They started their evening with a private first look on the porch, where Julie stunned her groom in the most stunning dress by Vivienne Westwood. As guests arrived, they were greeted with an aperol spritz at the door before being seated beneath the 100 foot oak trees in the backyard. The ceremony begun underneath overcast skies, but like magic, the sun perfectly made it’s way through the trees just as they said their “I Do’s”.

As the reception began, everyone hung out together in the yard — some cozied up around the fire, others paid the chickens a visit in the coop. After refilling their spritzes and spicy margs, everyone sat together for dinner. The meal was capped with speeches from close family and friends, and the crew ended their night with an impromptu dance party on the deck. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off their marriage.
