  • I’m a documentary photographer first and foremost. I will always prioritize preserving the moment over making sure everything in the picture looks perfect. The most important part about being a documentary photographer is making sure that moments happen naturally, not because I stage them to happen.

Sam and Dylan held the most beautiful, intimate wedding at Our Place, an AirBNB on the Oregon coast. In the process of planning my own wedding, I’ve been brainstorming concepts to build a dinner table that would be as low-waste as possible (zero-waste, if I did it right.) Often times, people think we have to compromise aesthetics for the sake of sustainability, but I’m confident that the two can coexist. Thus, this series was born. With the help of some of my friends and local vendors, we are setting out to show the wedding industry that low-waste wedding design is not only doable, but can be beautiful as well.

For their engagement session, Mary and Mitch decided to spend an afternoon together at the Washington coast, something a little different from the Arizona desert they used to call home.

“I am not one to ever like photos taken of myself, and I generally feel very awkward when I have to have photos done. Eunice completely changed that around for me. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed and knew exactly how to help in every way between nerves for the big day and making me feel comfortable in my skin. She made the whole experience feel friendly and inviting, as if we were just hanging out as friends (only with a camera there). She truly made the whole expreince better than I could have ever asked for. When we got our pictures, they were absolutely breathtaking, gorgeous, and they captured every moment of our beautiful, fairytale day. The best part though, I actually love these pictures of myself and with my husband! The right photographer can make you feel special and just make your whole wedding feel perfect, and Eunice is that photographer.”
